Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital was erected as a general hospital with 690 beds inside the Gwangmyeong Medical Complex. As the second hospital of Chung-Ang University Medical Center, it provides specialized medical services centered on the Cancer Center, Cardiocerebrovascular Center, and Gastrointestinal Center. It aims to become a leading hospital providing the highest level smart healthcare. We designed a flexible outpatient space that can cope with a variety of changes with the treatment room modularization plan. The ward was designed as an optimized healing environment to be prepared for the comprehensive nursing care service. We focused on designing a safe medical service environment, such as developing individual intensive care units bed infrastructure in consideration of infection control. By layering patient traffic line and space from the moment the patient enters the hospital to the end of treatment, the hospital provides a new sensation to the patient. At the same time, the hospital combines a waiting space in an adequate size with ample landscaped space to create an affluent and stable healing environment.
